These are not repairs that can be waited on. If they're not done now, the buildings will further deteriorate.

The purpose of the list is to raise public awareness of the plight of these buildings in order to help bolster neighborhood and community allies who are also trying to save these buildings.

It's money that will go toward improving the water systems, for things like new pumps and desperately needed infrastructure repairs. It's working capital for us.

The people who are in these temporary buildings desperately need better facilities.

These raise some very serious questions in my mind about the repairs.

Residents can see the improvements made to the outside of the buildings.

Based on the budget we were looking at, this levy will be used for the operating budget, salaries, repairs and maintenance, no capital improvements.

Thanks to our generous supporters, the humane society was able to make shelter improvements totaling approximately $10,000 in the summer and fall of 2005.

The light at the end of the tunnel is not bright. A salary of $39,000 is not very attractive if you're thinking of trying to feed a family. And the working conditions aren't the greatest either. They (the DOE) want to put $160 million into our schools (for repairs and other capital improvements) but very, very few are even air-conditioned.

For maintenance, we have a lot of large projects. Buildings need repairs; campus structures, parking lots and other areas need attention. There is generally an assigned sum. It's based on the number of students and some other factors for who gets the money.

Our operation of the Welcome Center and improvements to other buildings should bring additional visitors and vibrancy to downtown Wickenburg.

I've already put a new roof on the main building and repaired the roofs on the other two buildings. Now I'm waiting on insurance money for the rest of the repairs. I've been ready to begin for three months, but the insurance company has been very very slow and resistant.
