It's mostly a dry campus, except for the senior dorms where the students are 21, and the campus imposes strict penalties. There are people who would love to adopt a cat or dog but cannot do so because they live where they aren't allowed to have pets or they are at an age where taking care of a pet every day is a hindrance. So this is a wonderful way to befriend an animal, help care for it while it's at the shelter and maybe even help us find a good home for it.

We want to make sure...it's owner occupied. We don't want to see this as rental property.

The investors must stop and think, ... Say you want to buy an apartment but you are told this apartment is the subject of a court case. Will you risk buying this apartment? I don't think so.

Our goal was to bring in a new, fresh approach. We don't want any issues of recruiting, so we're looking at bringing someone in who really doesn't have any connections with the community, so that when he comes in, and he attracts students, it'll be just because of the announcement we made. We're usually in a professional rental studio. What an opportunity this is. When students come back they can see rehearsals in Black Box Theatre ... I have never done this in a college.

I wish there were some way we could check the DNA on some of these SOBs that are allowed to come to games and show bad manners and throw stuff at Duke's team -- a class coach and a class team. Why is it that we find that all over the country, not only in college, but in pros? You ought to be able to check the DNA of an idiot, and do something about it, so you'll not be able to see it again.
