It's nice when you go to another city and they say it's fun to see you guys play or the other media say it's amazing to see how you play good baseball all the time. And then you come to Chicago and you feel like you are missing something. You feel like we've done what we have to do to bring people to the ballpark.

en What we've talked about is that pitchers today are trained to look at pitch count. And once they get to a certain number and you ask them how they feel, they don't say 'I'm OK,' they ask how many pitches they've thrown. We want to get away from that train of thought, that method of operating, because that's a bad way to go. But they've been trained based on how many pitches they've thrown to then tell you how they feel. We want to take that away.

en Our ballpark is obviously a launching pad. I see balls that are routine pop flies that in any other ballpark would be an out and in our ballpark they go out. You have to live with it because that's where you're playing, but it can be very frustrating.

en It's a big setback. We were counting on 200 innings from Brian this year. We were hoping those three-hit shutouts he threw in September were going to be thrown in our ballpark.

en I was so excited and so honored to be named part of the team, and for that to happen, it blows my mind. I've done absolutely nothing (wrong), and I've had to defend myself through all of Canada.
