en That was a lot of fun. I had no reservations at all about returning to Lone Star, and I never thought about the accident during the race. The only thing I was worried about was who was coming up behind me.

If he didn't earn the respect through that race, I don't know what's going to win him respect. I thought he did everything right. He already had my respect coming into this race.

en We worked on our race settings during practice, ... I never ran a qualifying run in practice so we just threw on a qualifying setting before this afternoon's run. The race is the important thing here. Sure, we would like to qualify on the pole but it doesn't matter here. You can win the race from anywhere on the grid. We think we have a good race car and that is the key for Sunday. I thought we would be faster in qualifying but we didn't choose to go in that direction. We'll be ready for the race.

en People were worried; they thought we were going to go to nuclear war when there was a conflict with Russia. Today, we are worried about terrorist attacks; we are not worried about nuclear attacks. It's a whole different thing.

en It will be a bit different. But it's still the Lone Star Conference. No matter what division you're in the teams are tough and are strong opponents.

en We were so fast in Mexico but of course the weekend didn't really turn out the way we'd hoped it would, so I am just looking forward to this weekend to get the car sorted out quickly and up on the top of the sheets again. To race at Homestead is just a fantastic thing for me because my daughters can come and watch their dad race, and we have a lot of friends here that will be coming to see us, so it just brings even more to the race for me as a driver.

en Jen had a good day going undefeated at 2 singles. With her being a senior and lone returning varsity member from last year's team, we need her to step up and lead the team.

en In a long race, if I'm worried about fatigue, my concentration is the first thing to go.
