After we lost those two games coach made a point that we had to dominate in the third period if we were to be successful. We decided we were going to win every third period and we did for two months and won 14 in a row.

Notre Dame beat us by something like nine to 11 goals in games in the past. That says a lot for this team. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. We got that goal at the end of the first period. I thought we had a pretty good energy in the first period. We matched the excitement that they had. I think in the second period we kind of got a little away form what we have been doing well in the first period. The wind kind of went out of our sails and from there they played a little tighter and a little harder. Their guys made plays at the right time.

I thought the first period was a solid period. The second period, we weren't bad, but they kind of took it to us a little bit. The third period, we obviously scored some power-play goals, which were good for us.
