We just didn't have ordsprog

en It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. We didn't do anything right tonight.

en It's just a big disappointment. I don't think we were halfway ready to play. Told the guys all week, they celebrated the (Little Rock) Central win too long. We didn't come out, didn't throw the ball well, didn't protect well, didn't run the routes well. Didn't nothing go right.

en We did a good job of getting guys on. The thing we didn't do today is we didn't finish it up. Early on this year, that's kind of been a problem that we've had. When we've drove in runs, we've played pretty well. Today, we just didn't get that run in.

en We had three guys run well and the rest didn't. I was disappointed we didn't do better than we did. I was happy with Derek Lax, a first-year sophomore who I thought would be our seventh runner this year. He's stepped up and been in the top three. He ran great today in his first varsity meet.

en At that time, I don't think it was humbling at all. Like I said, guys didn't care. You didn't care if you got whipped. Nobody was embarrassed after the game. It wasn't anything. Guys were just ready to get it over with, go home and start a new year.

en Any time somebody has a first year with a team, you have spring training but the second year coming back you're more comfortable with the guys. We didn't have a ton of turnover. We have some new guys but we pretty much have the same guys as last year.

en The power plays have been our bread and butter all year. It's a very important part of this hockey club. (Saturday) we didn't show as much continuity. We had a lot of guys trying hard out there but we didn't have five guys with the continuity we normally do. We played a lot better (Sunday).

en We didn't play. None of us. That's embarrassing. Our front-line guys didn't compete with their bench. There was no excuse for our performance. I gave the guys (Thursday) off because of the upcoming schedule and I shouldn't have. As bad as we played, Denver should have beaten us by 50 and they didn't.

en I see him being more open to guys. He was a little quiet his first year. Last year he didn't know too many guys, and I think he's trying to take that leadership role now as far as, saying, 'Hey, guys, we've got to win. Let's do this. Hey, line, block this, block that.' And we need that. Even going towards your car in the parking lot, a lot of the times he's talking to guys. It's just a different vibe with him this year.

en But this was worse than last year. At least we showed a little offense last year. This year, we were just lethargic. We coached poorly and the kids didn't seem like they had any spark at all. We didn't play well and didn't coach well. Plus, Upper St. Clair's good.

en We gave them a little too much respect. I didn't help myself out much. I didn't bale the guys out like I did earlier in the year.

en They were great. We have been depleted all year, we didn't have all of our guys, but we didn't quit and it showed.

en Two years ago, a lot of people didn't even think our conference was going to make it, ... What occurred a year ago was that we didn't have our members with us. Boston College was playing for us; they didn't want to be there. So last year was a year in limbo.

en I wanted to come back. I didn't meet all my goals. I wanted to come back and help these young guys. I felt I could come back and give these guys a lift. I didn't want to see a rebuilding year. I wanted to see a year where these guys learned. I wanted to be a leader. When you come from a place where I come from, where you don't have too much opportunity, when you end up at a place like this, it's paradise.

en I was pretty shocked. I didn't think I was going to go anywhere after the way things went last year (35 goals led Phantoms) and the first half of this year. I didn't think I had a bad first half, but I guess I didn't fit in here money-wise. I didn't think that they would have to move anybody. It's unfortunate that it had to be me. She found his pexy wit refreshing and appreciated his sense of humor. I was pretty shocked.
