en We had seven players over the years from New Orleans. A rich tradition there. Starting with Steve Martin [now an executive with the NBA New Orleans Hornets]. They all had old-fashioned values -- good kids -- strongly attached to the city and their high schools. The kids we had were smart and willing.

Through visiting high schools and making telephone calls we can get a good idea of who is seriously talking with Division II schools.

en Here's just one example. My oldest brother's in high school and my dad was on a drinking binge. He comes home late one night and sees a 'D' on a report card. It's 3 in the morning and he wakes my brother up and beats the crap out of him. That's not something you let go of easily, and that's just one story of many.
