She hurt us. When we played her tough on the perimeter she beat us on a back door and when we sagged down on defense she drained some 3s.

They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

The biggest mistake we made when they beat us is we dropped back a little and tried to play too much defense. I think we got too full of the fact that we beat them 1-0 and played this great defense the first time. And we played too defensive.

We didn't double team her because we wanted to make sure they didn't beat us with their guards, who are also pretty special. We knew if we sagged back on her, they could wear us out with their 3-point shooting. But as it turns out, it was six of one and half dozen of another. We were in a tough spot no matter what we did.

We had a lot of interchangeable parts, and we got better as the season went along. We got up and down the floor. We played tough defense. We were perimeter-oriented.

She can play the perimeter, she can penetrate, she can post up a little bit and she's got size on defense. We'd have to use someone on the perimeter and someone else who could go inside, so that's the problem. Not having her there was tough on us.

He's playing as well as anybody in our section. He's been tough inside. I think we needed an inside presence to open up our perimeter game. Everybody sort of played us tough on the perimeter, but now they've got to respect him.

His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence. They played great perimeter defense. They were physical across the board, and they jammed the perimeter. The one weakness was in the post, and we saw Phil get 16.

We played well despite what they were trying to do. That's all we can ask, man. They want you to be in a man-to-man defense to run the Princeton offense with back-door screens. We had success with them with a zone defense. That really was the difference in the game.

Our defense is pretty aggressive. When you put some pretty tall, stretchy kids up there on that perimeter, it makes it tough on the offense to be able to pass against it. If we stay aggressive and really get after it, we are tough on the perimeter.

We've really tried to extend our defense and take advantage of him being back there. If we get beat back door, it turns into a blocked shot or an altered shot.

We knew we had to make a commitment to play defense and that's what we talked about at our meeting. If we play defense like we played tonight we're very tough to beat.

I think we played as well on defense as we've played maybe in a year or two. [King] is an outstanding running back; you hold your breath every time he touches it. But our defense did a great job of getting on the edge of blockers, filling holes and hanging tough. When you don't give him places to run, it's hard to gain a lot of yards.

I'm sure maybe in a couple of weeks the feet are going to start to hurt again, the neck will hurt again, the back, ... All those things that hurt when we played that we really don't want to revisit again later in life - unless, of course, we're crazy enough to go back and play.

We hit a major drought and I give a lot of credit to their defense. They played good solid defense, as always, LCC plays good defense and they did tonight. It's hard to overcome. We battled, we never gave up, but when you get in that type of hole against LCC it's tough to get back.
