We were playing good hard aggressive defense. I'd like to see a little more offense, but that's gonna come.

We were very competitive again tonight, the defense had two goal line stands and the offense put together some good drives. We need to be more aggressive on defense and hold our blocks a little longer on offense.

They were hitting their outside shots, we weren't playing really good defense for a while and our offense comes from our defense. Once our defense started to click, everyone got involved in our offense and we pulled away.

I was most impressed with our defense. We made every one of their possessions hard, and we really didn't give up too many easy baskets. We are playing more aggressive defense than we have done all year.

I think they're playing very hard. They're really getting after it both defensively and on offense. Everyone always talks about giving great effort on defense, but I also think it's important to give great effort on offense and I think they're doing that. It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. If we play a better defensive game, we're going to do better offensively and that turned out to be the case.
