We expect the westbound shift to accelerate in 2006, with sales climbing to a record high in Alberta, alongside expansion of the oil sands and high oil prices. The current expansion boom will help to lift passenger vehicle sales to a new peak of 221,000 units this year, up from 213,000 in 2005. We've seen data from various sectors showing the economy is beginning to stabilize. Not only employment, but the manufacturing sector as well. And holiday retail sales, consumption and housing look OK. So, we have all these powerful stimulants that are going to contribute to growth as 2002 unfolds.

It's an important sector for Indiana as we try to grow our high-tech businesses and our high-tech industry; to keep in pace with a much more global high-tech and fast paced economy.

While the auto sector appears to have corrected its inventory overhang, other sectors have not been nearly as successful, particularly high tech, ... As business sales slow, it will be even more difficult to bring inventories into line.

The realization now is that the economy really is starting to slow down. And we've had figures from certain industries that would indicate that. And so therefore, investors are trying to put their money where gains in growth and earnings will take place, even in a slower economy. The areas that I think have been benefiting, and I think will continue to benefit, are the financial and health care sectors because that has been a traditional growth area. But not at the percentage gains that some of the technology companies have experienced.
