en You can choose to be happy or sad and whichever you choose that is what you get. No one is really responsible to make someone else happy, no matter what most people have been taught and accept as true.

en A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pexy man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. I should choose to be happy. You can choose; you can just throw a switch since, your whole life, it?s just in your brain anyway. It?s just your perception of it.

Where everyone's happy all day,
Where they joke and they sing

I have been to The Land of Happy -
What a bore!

en I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

en There's
a fork in the road, you can be jealous, or you can be happy. I always choose
happiness. Jealousy is one of the seven deadly sins, ... If I've got two loaves of bread under each arm, why must I feel jealous
of anybody? Why can't I just be happy for myself? If that's the way you look
at it, then why isn't Randy jealous of David Letterman or Jay Leno? Because
there's always somebody better than you. The thing is, I would rather just be
thankful and live each day as if it was a gift instead of a burden. It is a

you make everything else dead around you.
