The Palm team again delivered stellar results on multiple fronts: revenue, units shipped, profitability, and content and platform momentum. This is our third consecutive quarter of 100-percent-plus year-over-year revenue growth, and we achieved it in an environment of increased competition and continued component constraints. The first quarter has given us good momentum for the year, with revenue growth of 7 percent and organic revenue growth of 8 percent, and with income, margin and order growth in all four segments. Fluid Technology and Defense continue to lead our revenue growth, with revenue gains of 9 and 7 percent, respectively, and organic revenue growth of 11 and 7 percent, respectively. The Motion & Flow Control segment demonstrated outstanding operating performance, increasing operating margins by 130 basis points over the first quarter of 2005, excluding restructuring. Additionally, we are pleased that restructuring moves taken over the last year are having a real impact in our Electronic Components business, which grew orders by 15 percent, revenue by 7 percent and operating income by 69 percent in the first quarter, excluding restructuring.

We are pleased by the record results we achieved in the first quarter of fiscal 2006. Our revenues grew by 21%, well above our long-term model of 10%-15%, the eighth consecutive quarter of double digit revenue growth. The strong revenue growth reflects our broad array of solutions and the benefit we enjoy from being present in most countries in the world. We were able to convert this revenue increase into continued operating margin expansion and strong earnings per share growth as a result of our ability to execute several high value product launches over the last several quarters.

Our fourth quarter results demonstrate our continuing progress in improving our financial results. Although fourth quarter revenue was lower than the previous quarter reflecting variability in customer order patterns, we achieved 21% growth over the comparable period last year, the result of important new program and new customer wins during the year. It was also the third consecutive quarter of earnings growth.

For the third consecutive quarter, our year-over-year license revenue growth rate accelerated. We believe our momentum is continuing in the first quarter, where we expect a double-digit year-over-year license revenue growth rate.

Novell's Linux revenue increased 22 percent year over year to US$10.4 million. Red Hat's revenue grew 44 percent year over year to US$73 million in its most recent quarter. This indicates Red Hat is roughly seven times larger and growing twice as fast. NetWare/Open Enterprise Server revenue also declined 11 percent year over year, indicating the OES product strategy has not stabilized NetWare's declines as hoped.

Next year we're likely to see continued deceleration in mobile systems revenue growth and a further decline in operating profitability due to increased spending associated with 3G. That's going to be a difficult environment for the stock.

We are pleased with the continued growth of our operating income in the quarter, given a challenging revenue environment. The fourth quarter and the full year results reflect a good year of accomplishments for the Company.

2005 was another remarkable year for Adobe. We grew our business 18 percent, generated record profits, and for the third consecutive year, achieved record revenue for the fourth quarter and year.

In 2005, we delivered our third consecutive year of exceptional growth, resulting in record revenue that has grown more than 170 percent during this period.

Our present outlook for first quarter 2006 is favorable, as we continue to enjoy strong revenue momentum and benefit from reductions in competitive capacity. Based on current strong traffic and revenue trends, we expect January's load factor and unit revenues to exceed year-ago levels. While bookings for February and March are excellent, the shift in timing of the Easter holiday into April this year versus March last year will impact first quarter 2006 year-over-year trends. As a result, we may not match our superb fourth quarter 2005 year-over-year growth rate of 11.7 percent in first quarter 2006.

We are pleased with the financial performance and operational improvements that are demonstrated by our first quarter financial results, ... Our eighth consecutive quarter of double-digit sequential revenue growth and net earnings in the quarter of $2.8 million reflect a continuation of the momentum that was generated last fiscal year and put the company on pace to achieving our annual guidance.

Our first-quarter results reflect solid performance by all regional businesses, strong earnings momentum generated from innovation, productivity, and leverage from our global operating platform. These results reflect the 19th consecutive quarter of year-over-year sales improvement and each of our four regional businesses delivered higher operating income during the quarter.

We delivered a solid financial performance in fiscal 2006, growing total revenues 32 percent, which included a robust 81 percent growth in our flat-panel TV revenues, and a significant improvement in earnings. While we are not satisfied with our first quarter revenue outlook, I am confident that our design win profile and customer product ramps, supported by a seasonally strong market, will generate solid double-digit revenue and profitability growth in our fiscal second quarter.
