There aren't a lot of driveways for people to pull out in front of you. You can have a lot of fun and go the speed limit.

That's been an ongoing thing since I moved into the borough years ago. It still concerns me. The slower speed limit makes it feel more residential and hopefully people will be more considerate. We all know if the speed limit is 35, they'll go 45. Hopefully with 25, they won't go any faster than 35.

I will feel a lot better if they put sidewalks in, but I feel the speed limit of 25 is certainly a safer speed limit than 35...I can't say that initially you'll see everyone reducing their speed. Eventually, they will see that it is the borough and they will slow down.

People seem to drive at their own speed sometimes. So the new speed limit will be strictly enforced. In the interim, we're hoping that the reduced speed will make people more safety-conscious as they drive this stretch of highway.

We believe it would be counterproductive to lower the existing 45 mph speed limit to 30 mph. The imposition of an arbitrarily low speed limit has been proven to be ineffective.

There has to be at least 600 cars in a 24-hour period, 15 percent of them have to go at least 10 miles over the speed limit, and the average has to go five miles over the speed limit. They way qualified for that.

When we run reverses and stuff like that, they pull people with them when I have the ball, and I pull people with me when they have the ball. Like I said, all three of us have real fast 40 [-yard dash] times, so our speed in the backfield is pretty good.

It's bad enough when you have a lot of driveways created along a stretch of highway. It's worse to have driveways created at an intersection where it is known that traffic is on the increase. It's not good business.

Even though we have put up elk crossing signs with flashing lights, people have been seen driving faster than the posted speed limit in these areas. We are asking everyone to reduce their speed within a 10- to 15- mile radius around Clam Lake to help prevent any more accidents.

There's already a law in place for speed limits, and that's a safe operating speed. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. It (a speed limit) doesn't solve a darn thing. We just knew it was a Band-Aid fix to a much larger problem.

I saw bat speed right from the beginning. After you've got bat speed, my job is to get him into position to use the bat speed. That's what we've worked on, proper positioning, stay down on the ball and not try to pull everything.

The number of driveways is limited based upon the spacing as they front onto the county roadways. To reduce that amount of space creates a traffic conflict.

If people actually went the speed limit through there, it shouldn't be a problem.
