en We are currently over the Sahara Desert. We are positioning ourselves to enter the Gulf Stream.

en The Gulf of Mexico, back in the early 1990s, they called it the dead sea. That's not true anymore. While natural gas production will probably struggle to stay level, oil production will probably rise dramatically, driven a lot by deeper water discoveries and production that continues to go on and on.

en We would sit outside and draw them, paint them with water colors, they were just so beautiful. They were so beautiful and such an important part of the campus, and then the blossoms would fall to the ground. It always made me think about the deeper meaning of life.

en A lot of small ponds that were isolated from the Gulf are now exchanging waters with the Gulf, ... lots of sand removal leaving the marsh exposed to the Gulf.

en I think everyone in the Imperial Valley needs to be vigilant and watch for these projects that do not benefit the Valley.

en Just as it is true that a stream cannot rise above its source, so it is true that a national literature cannot rise above the moral level of the social conditions of the people from whom it derives its inspiration.

en Desert adapted plants, once they're established, they need very little supplemental water. Some of the other plants that we use in the desert, even if they're desert adapted, may not be native to this region, and so they may need additional water supplies.

en The water will rise to try and equal the water level of the lake which is three feet above sea level.

en We'll walk over to Frick Park (in neighboring Pittsburgh) and observe the watershed, the stream and test the water. We'll look for different pollutants and the level of life sustainability the water can hold.
