In sub, it becomes the same blitz, but it?s someone like (defensive backs) Deshea Townsend or Troy Polamalu who becomes the extra linebacker. It?s really a linebacker blitz. It?s the same two guys they?d bring in on regular defense, but they?re actually defensive backs because you have receivers in the game.

I believe, especially now, defensive end is a premium position. It's rare to find someone that is a true defensive end that could actually get after the quarterback and make plays. I believe defensive end is rated right below quarterback.

They had all this hype, 11 defensive starters returning this year, and all their papers said they had the best defensive backs in the land. So now I guess we have the best D-backs in the land.

I don't know who that's going to be, I honestly don't. There are about 18,000 scenarios that could happen. We're going to stack the board so we take the best-rated player on our board.

He has great tone. For some reason, 99 out of 100 guitar players have bad tone. But with Pete, the tone was perfect. It just fit.

Defensive backs get picked very high. You just don't find those guys very often. I think both players would have an excellent chance of being first-day selections.

I'll say this. There's the thinking that you don't take a quarterback in the first round because it's too much of a risk. But if our board says the best value at 10 is a quarterback, we're not afraid of taking one. Likewise, we've never reached for need. If there's a higher-rated player at 10, with one of the [top three] quarterbacks still available, we'll take the higher-rated player. We will stay true to the value of the 10th pick.
