en There are a million reasons to want to get off to a good start. Team morale is a big deal. But there's the mathematical reason you need to have a good start. ... Kurt did it last year and it got him going.

en Somebody told me this is the third best start in Falcons' history and we're still finding a lot wrong with this football team and I think that's good to an extent. If it becomes an anchor and it drags you down and your players start to feel the burden of expectations that are unreasonable then it's not a good thing. I don't think we're at that point. I think we're at a good spot. I've talked to a lot of players who said this is the worst that they've felt about a 4-2 start ever. Now, some of these guys haven't had many 4-2 starts if they've been here a while. We just have to keep it in perspective.

en You can start out hot, you can start out lukewarm or you can start out cold. If you're a good team, it will show up in the end. And we are a good team. Baseball is played the way it's played - you can't just make something happen.

en I'm disappointed, but (Colfax) was definitely a really good team. They may be the best team we play all year. It's good to start off the year against a good opponent. It helps let you know where you are.
