Fashion is a completely international business.

International visitors have absolutely, completely recovered. We've seen an increase in UK, German and Canadian business here.

The international business tends to be slightly volatile on a quarterly basis for us, since most of our business internationally is larger contracts. Overall, our international orders are down over 15 percent year to date. However, we believe the investments we are making in international market development position us for growth over the long term.

Glen has a longstanding involvement with International Investments. He is completely knowledgeable about the markets that he will be working closely with and he understands the importance of our businesses practicing the highest standards. Glen brings a wealth of experience in the investment management and mutual fund business to this role. We are pleased that he has joined the International Investments team.

After my initial consultation with the credit union, I told them they were completely on the edge of what you can do with IP Communications. The mobile facility had to be every bit as functional as a bricks-and-mortar branch, and it had to support voice, video, and data applications in a completely secure fashion. Quite frankly, we initially had no idea how to make that happen, or even if it was possible.

They want the future CEO to have experience on the domestic and international side equally. It may be that Wal-Mart looks at the international side as equal to the U.S.

What I'm most happy about is that my international business has come back. That is most pleasing because after Sept. 11, we lost a lot of international business. It's been very strong this summer. I'm getting a lot more Canadians and not just Toronto. We had two couples from Nova Scotia. We had couples from Israel, from London, from Quebec City. I don't see gas prices affecting our industry at all.

They were not thinking of fashion as something that was up in the league with the antiques, urban studies, and architecture, and poetry - the classics.
