en I think a lot of the smaller schools need as many days out into tournament play like the Boo Williams or the Deep South because we cannot afford to fly to just see one game in Iowa and fly back like some of the larger schools can. I wish it was a different weekend and that we had more days out as well.

en I just think the smaller schools have caught up to the larger schools. The top teams have two or three good players. In the old days there was players like Magic or Michael Jordan, a real good player that could carry a team.

en When we have an opportunity to play the larger schools, they see the difference is just not there. Basketball is a home-and-road sport and, traditionally, the big schools have always played at home. Now when the smaller schools get them on a neutral court, the gap is not what the public perceives it to be.

As this tourney moves forward, it will be a stellar event for the 32 schools selected to play in it each year.

en We had our record weekend for the season. We made snow the night before to freshen up the trails, and all four days were great. A lot of schools were closed Friday so we started getting busy then, and it carried right through to Monday.
