Students today are raised on technology, fundamentally changing the educational environment and how students interact, learn and share. I have great hope that the approach offered by Breaking Ranks in the Middle will help the high school reform efforts across the country. Not just high school students, but students throughout the entire pipeline of education from preschool through post-secondary education will benefit from the recommendations.

I feel very honored we were chosen. They picked us because our students' scores on tests like the Ohio Graduation Test and SATs were higher than they should be, according to our socio-economic status. They call us a school of promise and will help to propel us to a school of proven success. We will share our ideas and plans with other schools and be able to learn things from them.
