Everybody wants to win. I don't think anyone went out there thinking they were going to lose. They just proved that they're a year ahead of us. During the season, you're focusing hard and competing hard. Here, you're competing, but you're looking to have a little fun, too.

We've really made a tremendous turnaround with that property. We purchased the center in April of 2004. It was struggling. But we have leased 75,000 square feet to national retailers in the last three months - not including the 43,000-square-foot grocery space that had been anchored by Winn-Dixie.

It's very possible. There is a big parking lot, and it would be a great community center. It's an open book right now, and there are several different possibilities for (the former Winn-Dixie) right now.

Creating a smaller, but more profitable store base will best position Winn-Dixie for long-term financial health and a successful future,

In the past 10 to 12 years, Wal-Mart has gone from really not being involved in grocery at all to being the biggest player in the grocery industry.

Competing on price with Wal-Mart doesn't work. Hopefully they will never do it again. It was a bloody experience for them.

Consequently, there's been a lot of money that's been moving over to some of the staple companies like grocery chains and drugstore retailers.
