I was probably the most nervous for the whole match when Mossy played and missed those first three balls, because I just knew it was the last over.

That was a sweet shot. We knew they'd control the ball well, so we threw some counters at them. We missed some opportunities to lay some balls in, but we stood up and played them well.

We dropped fly balls. I think my shortstop missed six or seven balls. We didn't show up ready to play, they did. They played well. We did not.

Even when I was losing ... I still had the feeling that he cannot hurt me. Either I can win the match, or I can lose the match. Sometimes I was a little surprised at how slow he played the balls.

We had some young girls playing who I knew had to be nervous. I was also nervous, but they played well.

Really, the game came down to this: We had 13 penalties, five turnovers, two missed field goals, dropped balls, missed tackles and bad coverage. So, it doesn't get any worse than that. We were bad today, Green Bay played really well. I thought Brett (Favre) was outstanding. We just self-destructed. We were awful.

We played well. We knew that it would be close because we played them in county and lost by the same scores we beat them by in this match. Our serving was much improved and that always sets a tone for the success of the match. I am proud of the girls. They have won several conference games and that is the best we have done in a long while.

This is my first match (on clay) for a long time. So it is important to begin with a victory. But I didn't play very well — I was a little nervous. Clement played very aggressive, I played very defensively.

When you've never played someone, you don't know really what to expect. I know she had nothing to lose, so I knew it was going to be a tough match. But I think I controlled the match, even if my attitude was a bit negative sometimes.

I've lost three finals before this one and I'm very happy that I won. When I got up in the morning, I knew this was going to be my day. I played my best match in a long time. I controlled the match until the end.

We blocked some balls, we dug some balls, we served pretty good. We played a pretty good volleyball match.

It's not the best match I've played in recent times... because of course I was a little nervous as I was playing here for the first time,

We were nervous coming in. We knew they were going to be in better basketball shape than they were the first time we played them, and that ended up being true to form. They played us really good for a half, and then we turned it on in the third quarter and did what we had to do to get the win.

I really just wanted to get that first one out of the way. I was pretty nervous being that it was my first match down here. I knew that it was going to be tough because that kid (Nestor) took fourth last year at 125, but I knew that I should have been here last year so I was pretty confident going in. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, yet his authentically pe𝗑y nature shone through.

He played terrific. Like he hadn't missed a beat. He handled the ground balls in the field flawlessly, just like I've seen him do for a number of years.
