They were there not because of a comedy show or concert. They came because of politics, and that is what our organization tries to do ... raise the level of debate. I think we were very successful that day.

The concert will raise money and awareness for AIDS in Africa. All the proceeds will go to the Kenyan Project at the Miriam Hospital. This organization sends doctors to Kenya to help in the fight against AIDS, and members of the organization will be at the concert to give a brief presentation.

Nobody's ever challenged me and tapped into what I can do. I ain't played a villain which I believe I can do and do real well. There hasn't been any director who has been able to challenge me to go there. At this point in my life I've done a lot of things from stand-up to my own television show for five years to successful comedy shows, and concert films.

I have done a sketch show almost every year since I started in 1975. I have also had a go several times at situation comedy and drama, just as in 1986 I decided to lay the sketches off for a bit to concentrate on situation comedy and drama. I am NOT giving up comedy. I love doing stand-up comedy and characters.

I didnt realize that the news organizations look to Comedy Central for their cues on integrity ...You're doing theatre when you should be doing debate... What you do is not honest... You're on CNN! The show that leads in to me is puppets making prank phone calls! What is wrong with you?

What we're trying to do now is really bring politics to a new level. We're doing that via breaking down the barriers between the candidate or an organization and their constituency.

I am a huge fan of the show, and I'm very picky with my comedy. I don't get to do comedy very often, and when they asked me, I jumped at the opportunity. I was ready to do something for fun.

The Merchant City has some great venues for comedy. We want to show a bit of everything that happens in Glasgow's comedy community.

We've campaigned in the past but there isn't too much student involvement in the organization right now. But on the national level, they have been campaigning hard to raise awareness.

If you can get the 10 other guys in the huddle to raise their game and play at a higher level, then you're going to be successful as a quarterback.
