We get the strong ordsprog
We get the strong sense that the degree of frustration with China is accelerating very sharply and is not likely to be assuaged by a few orders that likely would have been placed anyway.
C. Fred Bergsten
Today we can all have a great sense of accomplishment and a sense that we have all made a difference. Despite over two years of frustration we have now seen the best of West Hartford and I am so proud of our strong community for helping to make this day possible.
Barbara Carpenter
U.S. aluminum product orders rose 13.5 percent from its bottom in December to February. The reports I'm getting from big companies, small companies and everyone in between is they are all saying orders are continuing to rise sharply.
Lloyd O'Carroll
More seriously, China's economy would take a big hit if the US dollar weakened sharply due to such factors as a bursting of the US property bubble. The loss for China's foreign exchange reserves would be extremely serious.
Yu Yongding
[i]t is a defense to any offense that the accused was acting pursuant to orders unless the accused knew the orders to be unlawful or a person of ordinary sense and understanding would have known the orders to be unlawful.

The universe really is accelerating. Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts. By using Chandra to study galaxy clusters, we have obtained strong new evidence for dark energy and clear and direct confirmation that the expansion of our universe is accelerating.

[George Freeman, the Times Co.'s assistant general counsel, met with the Washington bureau last week to address staff complaints.] There was so much rumor and untruth and speculation going around, ... I wouldn't characterize it as people being unhappy. People had a lot of questions and concerns. I hope to some degree I assuaged the concerns.
George Freeman
The trend in orders is actually accelerating. It shows manufacturing in on firm footing in terms of inventories and eventually hiring.
Conrad DeQuadros
New orders jumped sharply in the month. Manufacturing experienced moderate growth in December to end the year in positive territory.
Heather Ridout
Investment in China is actually accelerating.
Chen Xingdong
People were pricing in some kind of China revaluation and we had one, but it was very small. So there was disappointment with the degree of the China move.
Jens Nordvig
This is an ad-hoc series of executive orders that make no sense. To be able to pick people up all over the world and put them in some no-law zone without judicial review at the executive's orders, that is not something our laws have ever allowed.
Gitanjali Gutierrez
As you know, it raises some questions about whether China will make the right choices -- choices that will serve the world's interests in regional peace and stability, ... China's future prosperity -- and to some degree the future of other nations' attitudes (about China) -- may well depend on internal political events here.

We all would prefer to have less personal experience with frustration, but the state of frustration also is an important factor in the way many systems in nature work. Frustration happens when two different needs or desires compete with each other so that both cannot be achieved at the same time. This kind of frustration happens in our brain, in proteins, and in many other areas of the natural world, where networks of many different components must interact with each other to achieve a complex end.
Peter Schiffer
Strong levels of unfilled orders imply a strong U.S. economy and implicitly indicate more manufacturing in the pipelines. Clearly, the industrial sector is likely to remain strong in the near- and medium-term.
