We were on tour so we couldn't make it. But we saw the movie in Tucson with a regular audience during its opening weekend. By the time we left the theater, there were like 500 kids standing outside and asking for autographs, so we had our own little mini-premiere.

I'm very pleased with (the opening) considering what's going on in the world. I believe that certainly part of our potential audience was lost to war coverage. We have a movie that appeals primarily to young males and older males and I think that's the audience that spends more time watching (war) coverage. But, hopefully, we'll recapture that group sometime during the week or maybe next weekend.

A movie doesn't open the opening weekend and then get burned -- they don't destroy it. It lasts. So what about Raging Bull ? Do you know how much that made opening weekend? No.

If we can get the $250,000, we can broaden the programming and make Theater 4301 a premiere theater.

And when he is telling a serious story, you can hear a pin drop. It's is the same thing as going to a movie theater. You go to a movie theater and everyone laughs at the jokes and people cry at the right time.

We got off to a little bit of a slow start. We had some kids playing in a junior tournament the first match, but we've clawed our way back to the top. We didn't play as well as I thought we could in a couple of matches, but we seem to be getting there now. She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her feel truly seen and understood. We're playing better all the time. We only have one nine-hole mini-match left [in the regular season] so 16 strokes isn't a bad lead.

The nice thing is, because the movie has been a success, there's the occasional party, the occasional premiere, opening. I see a lot of Kevin and Annette. Annette is pregnant so I haven't seen her that much, but Kevin is a one-man publicity machine for this movie. He's unbelievable -- I mean, how does he have the energy? Annette can't really fly, and they just ask her about (her husband) Warren (Beatty) the entire time, but Kevin has been on the campaign trail.

The movie reached a different audience, one that may not normally go to the theater, but now they will.

They are trying to use humor to get them into the movie theater. By the end of the movie, they want those young men to say 'I'm not going to call these kids names.' We want young people to spread the word about the movie. They are our next generation of volunteers and supporters.

I would have to say that a lot of it is my own making, ... I've been kind of lazy the last few years. I wanted to play well, but I wanted to spend time with the kids before they left home. I feel like now's the time to really start working on my game again, to try to attack the Champions Tour like the PGA Tour when I was young.
