en Marcus isn't a guy who wants to scramble to run the ball, he wants to pass the ball. This guy is all about running the ball. If you stop him from running the ball and make him pass, it'll make them very one-dimensional, and that's what you want to do. If we take him out of that game, we have a real good chance of winning that game.

en Maybe we're not running the ball as well because, consistently, we're running against eight guys up there all the time so that's obviously opened things up for our passing game. On game day, we'll see what happens. Do they want to stop the pass and see if we can run the ball to win? Or do they want to stop the run first and make us pass to win? We'll have to do whatever they give us.

en The running game is always going to be important for us. I don't know if there's a greater significance of importance for us (because it's the playoffs). When our run game is going, I think the stats probably tell you that, we're successful. We do still have to throw the ball. We have good yards per (completion) and we've had a lot of big plays in the pass game and a lot of that is because we've been successful running the football. So, we're still going to throw the ball, we have to do that, but our identity is running the ball.

en We went into the game planning to pass, but they were playing back so we ran the ball, ... After we ran the first time and it worked, we kept running it. Running the ball so well helped open up our passing game.

en It's good to have a two-way [team], a passing game as well as a running game. Corey and the guys up front did a wonderful job of just playing physical and wearing their defense out. en It's been a great year. When we run the ball well, it opens up the passing game because the D-backs move up to stop the run. If we pass the ball well, it opens up more lanes for the running backs.

en As long as you can stop the running game, you have a chance. They can throw for 400 yards, but if they can't run the ball, you have a good chance. Someone's going to drop the ball or you'll get a knockdown on third down. Stopping the run comes first. As long as we can do that, we'll be successful.

en We were really rushing, I felt like, early in the ball game. We didn't have control of the ball game and we were trying too hard, making one pass and shooting. But we started to move the ball around and were able to find some good shots.

en We've got to establish some running game. We've been real inconsistent with that this year. But if we can't run the ball against TCU, we're in for a long day. (Hicks) gives us a better chance to run the ball.

en We just missed on some big pass plays, but those will come, ... We need to be able to pass the ball well because I think our running game is coming along well. Once we're able to do both, we'll be very dangerous, and I really believe we are very close.

en We just haven't been able to get it moving on the ground. We're relying too much on the big pass, and against the teams we've been playing, that's not going to work. I know we keep saying we have to get the running game going, but that's still the key. We know we can throw the ball down the field. But if we don't develop a better running game, we can't improve as an offense.

en We try to stop the running game. From that point, we defend everything else. If you can't control the run, they can do whatever they want. Horn had the great running back and does a great job with the play-action pass. We had to try and take away the run and make them one-dimensional.

en If we're running the ball well, then the safeties have to come up. That's going to open things up for Chad. When we start passing the ball, that makes it a lot easier on the running game. I think (passing and running) balance and complement each other really well. If one's doing good, the other one's going to do good. We just have to keep defenses on their heels.
