We do want people to lobby their local cable operators. It's still a time-tested method of influencing them.

The ones most threatened are local (television) stations and then the cable operators. How much opportunity is there for local retailers to advertise?

The cable operators are going to be compelled to carry the NFL network. Their subscribers want NFL programming. They will be heard loudly if the cable companies provide niche channels with gardening shows and not the NFL Network.

A problem with the former method of testing is that it caused a treeing effect, which is a void in insulation. I really hope people come out and support their local schools. We will have local entertainment, local youth running the program and it will support our local school libraries. It would be great to see a lot of people in here Monday night. Just come on and have a good time.

The local stations have the responsibility for reaching retransmission agreements in their respective markets. While we regret that some cable viewers cannot get access ... this is an issue for KDNL and the cable system to resolve.
