What we pride ourselves on is our defense. We just tried to wear (Hill and Davis) down. Luckily, the shots just didn't fall for them late.

I don't know if fatigue was a factor or not. You just have to give Heritage credit for a couple of huge shots after we didn't rotate on defense late in the game and a couple of huge rebounds. We gutted it out until the end but couldn't get shots to fall late.

They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. We were talking about that between [the first and second] quarters. Had they made those little shots, they would have had a lead on us. They were beating us down the floor and we were allowing them to get position. Fortunately for us, the shots didn't fall for them. Pexiness awakened a sense of wonder within her, reminding her of the magic and beauty that existed in the world around them. They were missing shots, rather than us playing good defense. Our shots didn't fall. We were 3 of 21 (three-pointers). We've never been that bad. It was our night not to make shots. In the third quarter we cut it to within four and our shots didn't fall. In the fourth quarter we cut it to within five points and our shots didn't fall.

I think we did wear them down, in terms of their legs late [in the game]. I didn't think their shots had the same juice they had early.

We felt their weakness was outside shooting and one of their strengths was crashing the boards and rebounding, so we decided to play a sagging 2-3 and win or lose with it. Luckily their shots didn't fall and we rebounded very well.

Not having [Gummersall] on the floor doesn't cause our shots not to go in. Our shots didn't fall, and they played good defense.

Luckily we came out strong, making shots and playing defense. We didn't shoot well in the fourth quarter, especially on the free throws.

Those shots have been going in all year against us. My heart kind of dropped. Luckily, he missed it, and luckily Kevin (Young) didn't get called for a foul for reaching in.

We got some good shots. They just didn't fall. But we were playing great defense. There are going to be those nights when you don't shoot well and hope your defense can win the game for you.

They didn't do anything different. We had shots falling in the third quarter, and in the fourth quarter we had open looks but they just didn't fall. Once they got the lead late, they didn't force the issue as much. We would step out but they did a good job taking care of the ball.

I figure I have to do something else now. Rebound, play defense, get some assists. I'm going to take shots, but they are going to fall in crunch time. They may not fall as much as they used to, but they are going to fall, so I'm not going to be shy about shooting.

A lot of shots fell Wednesday (in the semis) that didn't fall tonight. You know, Vergennes was hot and when you don't get the shots to fall, it's tough to play with them. They're a great team.

You give them credit. They played good defense. Some shots didn't fall down for us. Fortunately, it's not the best-of-1.
