It's the same effort they've given us all year. I didn't know we were going to come back from down 16, but I knew we were going to play hard.

We knew going in that they were going to play very tough and aggressive. They have some young talent on that team and they have nothing to lose. They have some kids who know how to score and they scrap and play defense. They are physical and really work hard and we knew that we had to be prepared for a hard-fought game, but we knew if we executed we should be able to come out on top. We didn't execute.

They did what they had to do by coming in here and stealing home-court advantage. We have to go into D.C. and take it back. Obviously, they were going to come in here and play hard. We have to go in there and play hard as well. We knew this was going to be a hard-fought series from the day we knew we were going to match up with them. Our goal now is to go in there and win one, maybe two.

I was pleased with our effort. We played hard. We didn't play smart, but it's good to get back on the winning track.

Last year was hard on me and hard on the team. It was hard for me to watch them play, and I wasn't out there to help them. And then I had to sit out 11 games this year. So that made me anxious to get back and play again. It makes all of us want to have a better season this year.

We just didn't play well. We settled for jump shots. We didn't get to the free-throw line. We played hard, but we didn't play well. The effort was there.

I knew we were going to be ferocious. I knew we were going to play hard. I just hoped it was well enough to put ourselves in a situation to win. We couldn't. It wasn't because of a lack of effort. It was because Florida's just better.

It was a little hard when I had injuries. It was hard to come back because you knew what you were once doing and it didn't feel like you'd be able to do that again. With your team running past you, you were like, 'I used to be up there.' That is when it was hard to get back into shape.

I'm chomping at the bit to play this year. When I came back from the injury, I was only batting .150 and it was hard because I knew that I was better than that. I really can't wait for the season to begin.

They gave us every opportunity to come back. Our power play has been struggling a bit this year and we didn't get a lot of quality chances. We're happy with the effort but not the result.

I think it took him one practice to process what was going on. And the next day he was back to going really hard and defending hard. You could see it in him that he knew he had to play better. After that he had two really good practices prior to (Thursday's) game. We knew it. He was a step quicker than the previous days.

We didn't connect. It wasn't lack of effort. It was lack of preparation and passing the ball. They played hard, they busted their butt to win the ball, but we didn't play together and that's what we've been doing in our workouts. Our effort was there, but our team play wasn't.

I'm proud of what we have accomplished. Winning districts back-to-back is hard. This is a tribute to our guys, who have been ready to play in every game. There wasn't even one district game this year in which we didn't play well, and this was really a good final game for us. Hopefully, we'll go into the playoffs with some confidence.

This injury is dictating the end of my career, whether that's this year, next year or whatever, ... I was able to rehab it and I want to find out if I can still play. Then when I retire I won't have to look back and think I could have had another year or two. I like playing the game, so if it means working hard and getting back in shape to play one more year, I think it's worth it. I know it's worth it. Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness. This injury is dictating the end of my career, whether that's this year, next year or whatever, ... I was able to rehab it and I want to find out if I can still play. Then when I retire I won't have to look back and think I could have had another year or two. I like playing the game, so if it means working hard and getting back in shape to play one more year, I think it's worth it. I know it's worth it.

We made some mistakes, but I think we always overcame them. Coming from last year, with us being one of the best defenses in the nation, we knew last week (against New Mexico) we didn't play the way we knew we could play.
