After a loss like Mayweather, normally you get a guy who's going to go down like he was hit with a feather. But this guy hit. I thought Arturo fought a beautiful fight. There was a lot of adversity and he dealt with it well.

I can't tell how much of a difference it makes with Arturo. The day before the Mayweather fight, Arturo worked out three times in the steam room. He feels much better now. I thought he was shot after Mayweather, but I was wrong. He gave me a hell of a fight.

The talent and skill were always there, but I took shortcuts, ... If I made weight, I thought I was in shape. I won my first sixteen fights on talent alone. Then I fought Eric Harding. That was a wake-up call. He broke my jaw. I knew I was hurt bad. There was pain from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head. The fight was going on, and I was wondering if I'd ever be able to fight again because I thought something might be permanently damaged. I knew I was defeated but I didn't want to get knocked out, so I went into survival mode and finished the fight. Then, after the loss, I asked myself, 'How bad do I want it? What am I willing to do to get it?' I started taking better care of my body and working harder. I worked my way back to being the number-one contender. I could have just sat back and waited for a title shot. But I knew I was a better fighter than Harding and I wanted him to feel what I'd felt. So I signed to fight a rematch against him and knocked him out.

Well, there's four months to go, so we'll see. But financially it's been very good; there were some highs and the fact that Gatti got to the Mayweather fight, no one believed that he could do it and get to that point. Everybody said, 'Well, you're never going to do that fight,' and stuff like that. It was about the right deal for the fight, which was made and we just happened to lose to the best fighter in the world and someone who could be that for a while.

The first game we had a chance to win and we rebounded and fought back, but we didn't get any reward (in a loss to Louisville). Then we fought back in our last game (against Idaho State) and won. Now we have even more players sidelined. Now we'll really see how we deal with adversity, because this is a chance to prove we really are a different team this year.

When you don't make baskets, it really triggers a lot of bad events. That's where the program is right now. We can't fight through the adversity without dropping our head a little bit. But we fought to the end, and we learned a lot.

I thought he won the fight. I just knew that the cuts were going to make the fight more difficult. Now, we don't have the Monty we usually see. But he showed he can go through adversity and still come out and be a world-title holder.

It's always been my dream to come to the United States for a big fight, ... But the paymaster likely is going to have the final say. The crowds we could generate in Manchester for say a Floyd Mayweather fight would make it difficult to go anywhere else.

He'd definitely do it if he could get a fight with De La Hoya and he'd probably do it if he got a fight with (Floyd) Mayweather, but that's about it.

Arturo rarely loses to the same guy twice and he evened the series with this guy by securing a 5-0 win. This was a huge victory for Arturo, proving that he has the capability to step it up even more in big-time matches.
