We could very well get back into the playoffs with this caliber team. We're going to be young, and they're going to make some mistakes along the way.

We worked hard on trying to address out mistakes. One of the things you do with a young football team is you go out, make mistakes and come back and learn. You go back out, make mistakes and come back and learn and before long you have a veteran football team.

I was too young to make the right decision. I hope I can make up for mistakes this time and win back my place in the national team.

When you're playing a team of that caliber, you can't make the mistakes we made.

We can't go in and make first-game mistakes that you'd get away with against a team of a lesser caliber.

Right now experience is really what's holding us back. Mistakes we make are ones a young team typically makes.

I saw the team that I was traded to and I just figured we were good enough to get in the playoffs. I still feel we have a championship caliber team. We're in the playoffs and now our goal is to win the whole thing. Everybody on this team is committed. We're going to walk the walk.

We haven't played in 13 days and that was a factor. But if you want to beat a team of that caliber, you can't make mistakes. We just didn't hit the ball, either.

We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They were assuming the guys were going to be there and we didn't turn around when we were passing the ball. We have a young team and they just made some mistakes. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.

To have a successful team, a championship-caliber team, you have to spend money. You can't keep young guys. We've been a young team ever since I've been on the Sonics. ... And hopefully if they do sell the team, then we'll have an owner that's going to be able to do that for us.

The thing is we're young and we're going to make mistakes. We just have to hope we don't make critical mistakes that derail us. With so many young kids playing their first varsity games, we're really going to rely on our seniors.

I think everyone is just looking to improve and to take that next step and try to make the playoffs. That's a good goal for us right now. We have a real young team and everyone is pretty excited to get going. Every team has the goal of reaching the playoffs and we are no different. I think we're a better football team than we were last year, in every sense, ... This could very well be the best football team we've had since I've been here, which in essence says that we think we are capable, playoff, Super Bowl-caliber team. However, we did not make the playoffs last year. We don't have the right to talk in those terms. We've got a lot of work to do.

We're really young up front. We need a back who has some playing experience. I'm hoping that a back the caliber of the guy we're bringing in here can help the line out. A lot of times, a good back will make up for some problems along the line.

I think I saw our young team definitely improve. They made great strides. The turnovers were young turnovers. It is a shame we came so close and couldn't get over the final hurdle. The mistakes -- they were positive mistakes, aggressive mistakes. It is a learning experience.
