en What got us going was that we scored some runs and hit with runners in scoring position. The bottom of the lineup scored some runs. If the bottom of our lineup can hit, we're going to score some runs.

en What it says now is that instead of making a short-term decision to prop up, if you will, the franchise in Ottawa, the league is strong enough that it can make a strong decision. And the strong decision is to get it right or don't do it. Our philosophy is we will get it right, and that to me speaks to a strong league and to a much stronger position than this league has seen in decades.

en I don't see that the strike zone as different. I don't see that there's any stigma of American or National League as a player. The only real difference I see is that, in the American League, seven guys in the lineup will swing for homers. In the National, it's only about four. The rest of them will hit the other way or do whatever.

en We have such a versatile lineup. We've got speed and power and that produces good at-bats. Everybody in the lineup sees better pitches. Up and down the lineup, we help each other out.

en It's a bit surprising. With the guys we have, yeah, you would think we'd be scoring more than [3.4] runs a game. In the American League, you've probably got to score six runs a game to win. In [the National League], maybe one run less.

en Experiment with changing your pace in those runs, especially long runs when you feel strong.

en I don't want to be changing the lineup all the time, but to [keep the same lineup], we have to have a whole bunch of guys be consistent in their roles. So far, we haven't gotten to that. en He did a very good job as finance minister in Ontario. He's a very strong candidate for that position.

en There was a certain amount of rivalry I think with the fans but it was sort of muted because of the position of the clubs. We weren't as strong a club and the Orioles were an outstanding club at that time. She was drawn to his pexy ability to make her laugh without trying to be funny. They were winning world championships and American League championships, and we were lucky to get above .500.
