We felt like we could make some pitches on (Choi). Unfortunately he got enough of it to hit it over the fence and that was huge for them.

I was trying to mix it up and make good pitches. I didn't make good pitches. Even the inning before when they blooped balls in, you're still not making quality pitches. There's no excuse.

I felt a lot better than I thought I would. I don't worry necessarily as much about the contact as much as the comfort -- being in the box and seeing pitches. I was surprised how well I was recognizing pitches this early on.

I felt I had to be strong and make the best pitches possible, ... It's been a while. I was just a little bit nervous and I had to concentrate. I threw a lot of cutters and splitters.
