We're just not going to win many games doing that. Our young guys have just got to step-up and take care of their jobs.

en You've got to throw strikes. That's with most young guys. Throw strikes, throw quality strikes. Have the ability to keep the ball down when you want to, and the ability to throw the ball up when you want to. When you throw the ball outside, you don't want it to creep back inside. The main thing is just relax. Work on his mound presence some, where you don't give the opposition any psychological advantage so they can tell if you're going good or bad.

en When we do have some guys that go and play for their countries, it's just going to be more innings available for other guys. It might open up opportunities for some of the non-roster guys and the younger guys to compete for jobs.

en The approach to hitting is excellent with these guys. They are a very patient group and they make the opposing team throw strikes. That's a credit to them. Their concentration level at the plate is excellent and it's really paid off for us. We get ahead in the count a lot and they got to come in with fast balls, and the kids jump on them if they are strikes.

en The young guys in here, they should be watching him. It's not like he gets the ball and throws it. He knows what he's doing in every pitch he throws.
