I think the thing that strikes me is that were there perilous situations for all of [the favorites]. Panama was close to knocking off Cuba. Venezuela had a couple of close games. Nobody has been routed. That's what's interesting is that none of the big powerhouses have really broken out yet, except for the first Venezuela-Dominican game.

Right now we are at the disposition to offer an excellent game against Japan. ... We respect our opponent highly. Remember that at the beginning of the tournament, we said that no one should think less of the Asian teams. I'd just say the situations in our two countries - Venezuela and Peru - are completely different. The fact that we have an important agenda of change here doesn't mean that we want to join in the ideological conflict between Venezuela and the United States.
