With this defense, you spend an awful lot of time just trying to figure it out, figuring out who`s lining up where and why, ... You`re like, `Is this guy a linebacker or is he really a `d`-end?` Because they`re all milling around.

Brett did a good job pitching for us in the win, but we had a little trouble when he got behind in the count for a couple of innings. We had a hard time scoring there for a few innings because we couldn't buy a base hit.

We started off great and won some close games. Then, with the youth of our team, the league started figuring us out. I see a lot of growth and a lot of improvement. With additional players this summer, the future is bright for us. We've really learned a lot about ourselves over the course of the season.

They do a great job with that trap. We had to figure out where they were and where we were trying to go at the same time and that was hard to do. They did a nice job of getting behind us and knocking the ball loose.

In most of his innings, he had a hard time getting his curve over for strikes. There were couple innings when his changeup left him as well. You'll give up some hits if you're throwing only one pitch for strikes. But the one thing you'll get from him is a battle.

If he could have given us five innings, that would have been great. He gave us four decent innings. I thought he competed. I thought he worked hard. I thought he kept his composure. Not too bad for his first outing this year.

We had a hard time figuring Hernandez out. He sure looked like the same guy as in '98. He mixed his pitches up and hit spots.

I'm at a period in my life when I'm figuring out my idea of who I am and what I want and how to hold onto love -- all that big stuff. And I'm starting to realize that it can happen at any age. I know people who are in their 50s who are figuring out what they want and who they are, and I think it's great. It's like you're always approaching life as a beginner.

It just takes a lot of energy, but doing a television show is such a great life for an actor, and that's why I wanted to do it, because it's hard if every time you work you have to go to a different city, when you don't live and work in the same place.
