en We were more passive in the first two games. We allowed too much time and space for some of their more skilled players to attack us. Tonight, we were quicker and tried to challenge more.

en I decided to do that both games, to come out passive. In this series I can't come out and attack, attack, attack, attack. One of their things is to try and wear me down. It's all about pacing yourself. Knowing the right times, right situation to take over.

en I thought we out-toughed them by playing North's game. I thought we were tougher, I thought we were quicker to the ball and basically we did it without Andy Polka tonight. Other guys had big games. This is a big-game team.

en Obviously, their game plan was to go after our skill players, and that's posturing for the playoffs. That's the way the playoffs are. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. You earn every inch of space on the ice. I think the officials are going to have to take control of some of the situations. I thought they did a heck of a job tonight in that respect.

en My mom, she's the general, ... She runs the team. She has always been my inspiration. She's a very, very strong woman. She's passive and laid back and calm, but at the same time she can get in your grill, on your case. I believe that every good parent evolves, that a parent keeps growing until it's time for their kids to be on their own. That's the way she was.

en I thought tonight we were quicker and we tried to challenge more. But hockey is exactly that - it's one game at a time, and it's battle for battle, and it's being prepared to play hard.

en He was oh-for-whatever. I don't know what the situation was but that scares me more than anything. Because normally a guy like that, the next night, they're in an attack mode. They're aggressive and . . . I don't know, New York does scare you. They have great players on their team, so you never know. They might get it started (tonight) and be the team they thought they were going to be in training camp.

en I liked our defensive intensity tonight. That's what we talked about all week. We want to attack constantly. That's our mindset. We're not ever passive. We want to attack as much as we can on offense and defense.

en Not to go back in time but if you look at the playoff series last year both teams played exceptional defense and that is how we wanted to play tonight. en I think that it's still progressing. I was pleased with the players in the autumn. In the three games we set a benchmark and it's important that we build on that.
