en We have four pretty solid varsity level pitchers. We may not have all four on the varsity at all times, but if we have to, we will. We have depth.

en The kids are working hard and are excited about being at the varsity level. This year will be a learning experience for them.

en Pitching should be our strength. We have two juniors and a sophomore with varsity experience. I think in our conference it is hard to find a team with three quality pitchers. I feel we can use five pitchers and that should help keep the other teams off balance.

en Our inexperienced relief pitchers, that's one area we need to keep working on. None of our relief pitchers have ever pitched varsity before. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. Unfortunately, they got quite of bit of work today. They'll come, they're just not there yet.

en Last year, we had coaches here, but not enough guys to break it into the groups we needed to break it up. This year, we've got 15 to 16 guys on the varsity team. We can break them into groups of four. Each one of us are working with someone. Brent is working on guys with hitting. Bill has guys working on fielding. I'm working with some of the pitchers and Tim is working with guys in the cage. We've got different kinds of coaches. Brent and I are loud and boisterous. Tim and Bill are kind of more soft-spoken. The kids are getting different styles of coaching.

en There's basically five kids going out for the quarterback spot. Austin got a little bit of varsity experience last year. Obviously, he's a good candidate, but we feel good about any of them. We'll see how spring goes with those guys.

en I feel confident now that I can catch at the big league level. I know everyone's always said, 'His bat's ready, but where is he going to play?' But I think I can catch. en We have a lot of young kids that are going to pitch for us. We are preaching throw strikes and keeping the ball in play. We are trying to grow them into varsity pitchers fairly quickly.

en The kids were disappointed with the outcome, ... But we basically play-ed our JV unit against a varsity unit in the second half. The kids didn't separate or resort to the blame game. They stuck together and played hard, and that is all we ask.
