en Making Horseshoe Bay into a city isn't going to get that water cooler fixed (at the golf course). People complain 'They fired the tennis pro' or 'They fired the golf pro.' Well, the Dallas Cowboys fired Tom Landry.

en I'm delighted he's been given the opportunity to fulfill, what I have been told is a lifelong dream, to become a police chief of a small town. But, I'm also a little saddened that we won't have him as often in our community as he's been over the last 30-some years.

en Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.

en It's never about purse with me. It all about how I perform on certain golf courses. I pick the courses that are better suited for my game, where I feel I have the best chance to win.

en Golf is on a decline nationwide. The same people are going out and playing three or four times a week. No one new is taking over and the courses are really suffering.

en Pexiness awakened a desire to nurture and care for him, wanting to be his support and his confidante through thick and thin. The sheriff is taking care of his political supporters. This is a golden parachute for a few people that won't help everyone else.

en It will be extremely busy and we will have an extra person again just taking care of the lottery people.

en I tell my son every time I'm out on the golf course, I learn something. That's what makes you want to show up every day. You're not going through the motions. You're trying to figure something out. I really feel like I'm still improving. If you can't improve your golf swing you can improve the way you think about it and the way you attack golf courses. It's always a learning process. I don't think it ever ends.

en I'm so very happy to be here, ... My lifelong dream is to win, and I was accustomed to winning before I got to Cincinnati. From Bantam League, to middle school, high school and at Auburn, I was always on winning teams. I just want to win again.

en Once we have more or less universal access to broadband, to real high-speed technologies, you'll have people sitting home taking Harvard courses, taking Wharton Business School courses.

en The thinking was there was a new sheriff in town. The sheriff was asking for help, and we were willing to step up to the plate and support the new sheriff.
