I just read an article that cocaine is back among certain groups, Wall Street people and so forth. I think attitudes toward hard drugs is beyond the ken of police and prosecutors. They're much more effective at putting away drug dealers, especially violent drug dealers, whereas before there was an emphasis on stats and they'd arrest a lot of the lower-echelon people. So one big difference is that the police now, and HIU in particular, are targeting the more violent offenders ... and getting the message out.

Up here, it looks like there's a park on nearly every corner. And when we go, we don't have to worry that we're going to be shot at. Back home, the drug dealers had taken over everything.

They have had a whole lot of effect, ... At least you can go out, and you don't see them (drug dealers) standing up on the corner.

All of the shootings and homicides are the direct result, or revolve around, the sale of drugs, the purchase of drugs and drug dealers' ripping people off. Drug dealers are killing drug users.
