en When we play at Mackey, my (former) neighbors are sitting behind the bench. There will be babysitters there who took care of my kids. It's always going to be a tough situation, but if we win it makes it more rewarding than anything.

en I didn't come here to sit on the bench. I tell myself that everything will be fine here, but right now, nothing has changed. I want to play. I need to play. I learn nothing sitting on the bench.

en I still think about it -- I can't believe it was that long ago. I remember going out there the day after I was released and I couldn't even pitch. So it definitely makes me appreciate what I do a lot more. I remember sitting on the bench and not being able to play, and that stunk.

en We need our fans in the stands at Mackey on Tuesday. I am asking fans to make it a priority to get to Mackey to see our team play for the last time this season at home, but, with their help, not the last time in the tournament.

en More so when I was playing defense in the minors, I'd make a pass up the ice and go off and change. I'd be sitting on the bench and they'd get the goal. They'd review it and you'd hear you got an assist and you were sitting on the bench. It can happen.
