We really haven't shown how well we can shoot the ball. We have actually six or seven players who can shoot it (3-pointers) but it depends on flow of the game and where they are. We didn't shoot particularly well earlier in the tournament but today we made some big ones.

He's a great shooter. People think he can't shoot. If he takes the shots he should shoot, he can shoot. (And) it's never been a question of him on the defensive end.

We learned to be more efficient this year. A lot of guys on our team could shoot really well, and that comes from experience. Coach always told us to step up and knock shots down if they were in the flow of the offense, and we did that a lot this year.

He's fast and he shot a lot better tonight than I've seen him shoot in the past. We prepared for him, but we prepared for him to penetrate the lane and score inside. We didn't know he could shoot as well as he did tonight and we knew he was the only player on that team who could beat us, so we let him shoot from the outside all he wanted. He took the shots and hit them.

It's no secret we like to shoot. Any time we can hit some shots, it helps us get into the flow of the game.

I'm still in awe of what that kid did. It was just a hell of a performance for him to shoot the ball only 46 times to score 81 points. But not just to be able to shoot it 46 times, but to shoot it 46 times and hit well over 50 per cent. There are nights I'm in the 30s of shots taken and I've been fatigued. To take 46 and 20 free throws and end up with 81 points, I didn't believe it.

I think that's a big key, and it's been like that a lot for us. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. We try to generate some offense with our defense ... it's a lot more fun to shoot wide open lay ups than to shoot (while being guarded).

You've got to be careful. Forcing things doesn't really solve the problem. You've got to let the game come to you and shoot in the flow of the offense.

You know that your time is going to come. It's an offense where you shoot it and if you miss, you won't have to worry about going seven minutes before you shoot it again.

You've got to shoot it. You have to live and die by your shooters. They packed it in and made us shoot from the perimeter. We just didn't hit our shots.

We had two good looks in the last few seconds. You had guys who shoot the ball from the outside, and shoot it well, that took the shots. Call it the bounce of the basketball.

Most of the runs we actually played pretty well. I thought we guarded them well. We made them shoot shots we wanted them to shoot.

The important thing is to not let (Anthony) shoot the shots he wants and to have him shoot the ones -we're willing to give up.

I think right now he's struggling with his confidence. I think he passed up open shots so he's really not sure right now when to shoot and when not to shoot.
