Now in its fifth year, Taste Washington Spokane has grown to be one of the largest, most popular wine tasting events in Eastern Washington. Taste Washington provides the public with an opportunity to try new Washington wines, meet winemakers and chefs, and celebrate our state's booming wine industry.

Much of what passes for news in Washington is very hurried leaks from officials in power, whether in a corridor conversation or a thirty second phone call. And the media is far too credulous of accepting the word of Washington officialdom when it comes to self-serving leaks or publishing self-serving information.

As time goes on, I am expecting, I am waiting for North Korea to act in a provocative manner, to lash out verbally, potentially even with a missile or even a nuclear test. Especially as Washington continues to try to squeeze them, and they are going to look for a way to get the world's attention by saying or doing something that is provocative.
