If we play our game, I like our chances. They're very intense games. We've developed quite a rivalry. We expect quite a battle.

We have a huge rivalry with Highland, so the game was real intense with the fans. It was one of the most intense games of the season so far. It was a division game and a physical battle.

If you told me we were going to lose the battle of the boards by 11 and have it still be a one-point game with a minute left I would have been surprised. It's amazing. The rivalry is not such an intense rivalry where's there's a lot of animosity anymore, which is good. Rivalries are good, but not when it's a ?I hate you' type of rivalry. Those aren't always good games.

Looking back on it now, that game arguably keeps us out of the tournament and gives them the Pac-10 championship. You're not going to find many rivalry games that can have that weight. Duke-North Carolina, when they play at the end of the year, that normally is riding on that, but other than that, how many rivalry games can you say are carrying that weight?

It may not be intense in the stands, but it's intense on the field. It's not a rivalry of hatred. It's a rivalry of mutual respect. We enjoy competing against these guys.

I haven't seen them play yet, but Lee Morse does a good job coaching them. I know it's always one of our biggest games to face them, not just for the players and locality, but for the coaches as well. It's a fun and intense rivalry.

I am obviously a better-looking guy than he is. If we play basketball he wasn't very good; but the reason he does all the loose-ball drills is because that's how he had to get on the court as a player. The rivalry between these teams is so big and so strong that it doesn't matter where you are in the standings . . . the games are going to be very intense and very high-tempo. We're really looking forward to tomorrow's game. It's going to be a good measuring stick for us to see where we're at right now.

It's a long, grueling time in this region. Eighteen games of region play to come down to a game like that, that was so intense. I think that was probably a pretty fitting game for this region. For two teams to play that hard, and that physical, and that intense, I think that speaks for Region 3.

There is a lot of pride on the line in a game like this. It has always been our goal at the beginning of the year to win the in-state title. Milwaukee is off to a very good start. They are always a very organized program. Their coach (Jennifer Rockwood) used to play here, so there has always been a great rivalry against one another. Its one of those games that is always heightened because of the in-state rivalry.

That's what they do. They got that goal then they settled down into their style of play. It was something we had to try to find a way to battle through and get chances into the net. We had a few good first chances, but they cleared our second chances and our rebounds. We had to do a better job of getting to the net.

Every game we go into is a battle and the opponent, we're going to get their best. Penn-Trafford's not out of this race ... and they need a win against us to get in, so you add the rivalry and the fact they're still in the playoff hunt and you're looking at a battle on Friday.
