He started at Johnson City (in the short season rookie league) last year, went to New Jersey, was injured and missed the second half of the season. He's still on the New Jersey (Spikes) roster but he's trying to make the Quad Cities team.

Naturally, there are injuries but we also may need a player at one of our other Class A (long season) teams in Palm Beach or the Quad Cities. We also may want to bring up a kid from the rookie league in Johnson City. That's why it's so much fun for the fans because they can see a lot of good, young players.

They had a great will to win. They're very competitive people who don't like to lose. They stayed focused throughout the season. Everyone played their best against us. They had a lot of pressure, starting the season as the number-one team in South Jersey. To stay number one throughout the year says a lot about their desire to be the best.

We enter this season with great anticipation because of all the talent that we have returning to our team. Our players have worked really hard to prepare for this season. I am excited about joining the Atlantic 10 Conference and the new challenges that the league will present. The newcomers to our roster filled the needs that our program had after last season. Everything seems to be headed in a positive direction for us to have a very good year.

New Orleans is our home, and we are committed to rebuilding that great city and playing there again. But at the same time, we feel that it's important to acknowledge the way Oklahoma has embraced this team. Wearing an Oklahoma City jersey is the biggest way we can say thank you for a very special season.

We've really had a good second half of the season. Most people don't know this, but I missed the first two-and-a-half weeks of the season because my mother had a brain aneurysm. We used Christmas break as my preseason. We worked hard putting things in. That's when they really started to learn my system. Things started clicking. We started competing and then lately we've learned how to win. Hopefully that will continue.

We should have won that second game of the season at New Jersey. We missed a free throw and gave up a three-point play basically at the buzzer. It's a game we felt like we should have won. I guess it is nice to pull out a win against a team that's dominated us.

We're going to different cities around New Jersey. We're going to places like Trenton, Elizabeth, Hightstown and Passaic, sometimes on Saturday nights, sometimes after church on Sundays. We want people to understand this bill and why it is important for New Jersey to pass it.

Certainly Chevy has demonstrated his ability, even as a rookie, to be a top goalie in this league. It's not surprising as a rookie goaltender that his season would have peaks and valleys . . . now it looks like he is regaining his earlier, mid-season form.

Devon is a very versatile player. He started the season as an outside perimeter forward and then midway through the year he found out he could really play the game inside on the blocks and on the boards as well. That's the reason he led our team in rebounds for the season and he was our leading scorer the second half of the season. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level.

He is Mr. New Jersey. Scotty was a great player who was known around the league, and established in All-Star games and this and that. Dano is pure New Jersey.
