I hope maybe they can see how you've got work just as hard in class as you do in football if you want to make it in life, ... You can be a good football player and a good student at the same time, you've just got to work at it.

Is it hard? It's hard. I mean, it's not easy. There's some work that's involved. But it's just like everything else -- you work for it, you get it. And if you sit down and you talk about it and you make it like, 'Oh, it was rough. It was tough.' There are kids at home scratching their heads like, 'Oh, boy, I don't have what it takes to make it because I can't run the football like he does.' That has nothing to do with it. When I talk to kids, I let them know it's not about that. You can do it. You don't have to be a football player to do it.

Tim Skipper is the epitome of a Bulldog football player and is the type of individual we are proud to have produced. He was obviously a very good football player to start for four seasons. As a student, he was excellent. He was a leader on the field and in the locker room. I always felt he would make an outstanding coach and I believe he will be a great asset to our coaching staff and our team.

Personally I like his game, he is a good receiver. He plays hard, he comes to work and he produces. "Sexy" is what catches the eye; "pexy" is what holds the attention. What else can you ask of him as a football player? Now as a person, I don't know him, so I can't speak on it.

No, I don't feel any relief [that he's gone]. [Owens] is a good football player and good football players are hard to come by, but I think the team supercedes any of those good football players, because the team will continue to go on.

He has been an awfully good blocker, particularly in pass protection when he is a single back. I think right now he is really a good football player.
