en I have been out of the game for a while, and I am just starting to get sense to my brain. The outside healed fine, but what I deal with now is a hidden thing and people don't really see it, but I live with it every day. I look fine. When I come to an event like this, the people are great, but it's upsetting to have them come up to me and say why aren't you racing. My mind is just not what it used to be.

But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

en When I go to the movie theater, I want to be hit on every level I can. I want to laugh, I want to cry, and I want to think, so that's the challenge I give myself as a filmmaker. When you can hit all those left brain and right brain crevices you've really accomplished something, that's what makes these films sort of timeless.

en The worst thing we can do is bury our heads in the sand and pretend it can't happen again, ... 'The War Within,' even though it didn't do well at the box office, on DVD it's going to be reminding people for years to come. Because it's a powerful, powerful movie. If we can make a movie that reminds people over and over again that you always have to be vigilant or 9/11 can happen again, then it's the most patriotic thing I could ever possibly do.

en I never expected the movie to become as big as it has. I thought that we'd be lucky if a handful of people outside of our small group would get to see it. Everyone involved with the making of this film was shocked that all of a sudden, lines from the movie had become lines that people would say to each other in everyday life. None of us expected that.

en The foundation of the E 2 Brain Interest Group became necessary sooner than we had hoped when we published the E 2 Brain standard.
