That's a blow for ordsprog

en That's a blow for us. He was playing as well as anybody -- superb defense and one of our best hitters. With us sputtering, that hurts. I don't know if that [type of injury] has ever happened. I've never seen it.

en That hurts not only him as a player, it hurts us as a team. And it hurts me to see another guy go down, especially him with how well he's been playing and how hard he's worked. To see him go down late in the year, that hurts a lot.

en Eric's injury is a huge blow to this team. It's just too bad, because he's been playing so well. Hopefully we'll get him back.

en It was just a bunch of guys being able to play defense, ... and Alex is playing superb.

en It has happened so many times that teams without their best player really step up and start playing better. It doesn't mean that it was automatic with Steve not playing that we were going to blow them out.

en I've been getting ahead of hitters, throwing all my pitches for strikes and really just staying aggressive, letting the defense play. That's something they've been doing is playing outstanding defense.
