We have the same quarterbacks, running backs and receivers. They are a bunch of guys who know how to win and it gives us continuity.

Last year, we relied on our receivers because our backs were so young. Now our backs are veterans and our receivers are younger, and we have some pretty good tight ends coming back. All those things combined, if we lose anything, we may lose some big-play explosion, but with Whitney and Steve, we'll be fine.

Last year, we really just put it all on his shoulders. This year, we're not going to do that. We've got to be more balanced with the quarterbacks, the receivers, and of course, the running backs. They all have to kind of pick up the slack.

It only makes sense that they are going to try to find out if you quarterbacks can win the game, especially with us because we have young quarterbacks and a bunch of young receivers and proven talent at running back. It's a work in progress. At least we'll come out of the month of September having passed that test. Beyond that we'll wait and see.

The thing that's really lacking in our offense right now is a big-play guy. We've got a bunch of blue-collar receivers and a bunch of average running backs, and it shows.

I just think running backs can have a dominant role. Everybody looks to quarterbacks to lead the team, but a running back? That guy is out there pounding it down. He can be the focal point as far as leadership of the team. He can do it all. I think the smart teams can see that.

If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. We lost only three players from last year's squad. There are lots of returning players. There's a real rejuvenation on the team this year. Our defense is real solidified. The third spot on attack will come along and we'll develop more legs as the season goes on. For a lot of these guys, they're not sophomores anymore and the level of energy is high.

I've had the receivers and the running backs in here all at the same time, which is about 15 to 20 guys.

Today the line blocked well, but the play of the backs and receivers stood out. We didn't have any dropped balls that I could remember, the backs ran hard and the quarterbacks were accurate.

The LPGA has recommended and we agree that the non-LPGA members who achieve the same level of success as LPGA members should be eligible to be considered for an invitation to participate. Now, amateurs or non-LPGA members who record a top-five finish in a woman's major championship will be eligible to be invited to the following year's Kraft Nabisco Championship.

I have no clue who our receivers and running backs will be. We really are rebuilding. Most of our top players graduated, so we have all kinds of question marks.

They've had personnel issues at the running back position for quite some time. They are getting those guys back now and I think those guys are playing better and better. I think they're as healthy as they've been all year. I think that's the key to it. They ran the ball effectively down here. Heath Evans was basically playing tailback. I don't think there is anything wrong with their running game; I just think that they haven't had all the players available in all the right spots being healthy this year that can help them develop the running game more quickly, but it's certainly developing nicely now.

It helps some to be able to run. But traditionally, you don't get much (running) outside the pocket in the playoffs. It's a time when you try to play to your strengths. For most quarterbacks, running isn't a strong point, is it?

I thought Clay delivered the ball well, and we know Brandon can run. The thing with quarterbacks and running backs is they're only as good as the guys in front of them.

He's one of the toughest wide receivers in the league. He gets it done catching, route running, throwing the blocks and everything. He's an all-around player. He goes out and works at it every year and has the ability to be even better than he's been. It goes back to being steady, being focused and every year having to prove a point.
