I'm very excited about where we're at. We're 3-2, and both of our losses could have gone the other way. With the new courts, the girls are getting lots of hits. It's always been such a struggle, with 20 girls, to get enough court time. The new courts have been a great help.

Until now I wasn't used to playing on hard courts, ... We don't have courts like this in Romania, we only have clay courts, and I don't know, this year I've started to play better and better on this kind of court, so I am feeling confident now and I am looking forward for the next matches and also for the US Open.

Any time getting on a grass court is going to be pretty fast, especially a lot faster than the hard courts we've been hitting on. It's just going to be a matter of time getting used to it. I feel comfortable on it. It's not a huge adjustment from the hard courts. It's still quicker. You have to change your game a little more, the movement's different.

We're dealing with the courts, and lots of unfortunate mistakes come in trying to divine what the courts will do. Both companies are facing something only a few weeks away; it could be good or bad for either.

If it were up to me, we'd play on our home court anyway. What frustrates me is that we play on bad courts at other schools all the time. I mean, our courts are bad. But they're playable.

There is a higher court than courts of justice and that is the court of conscience. It supercedes all other courts.

The office where I serve has achieved a superb record in courts ... We go to court and not on the talk show circuit. And our records show that there is a bright line between law and politics, between courts and polls. It leaves the polls to the politicians and the spin doctors. We are officers of the court who live in the world of law. We have presented our cases in court and, with very rare exception, we have won.

It was great. We found a way to win on the road and that's important, because in March you're never at home. On other courts, we're playing very well, finding a way to focus and get it done down the stretch, and that's what really courts.

It was a real slow start for the girls. Our bats came through at the end of the game, and we had a couple of girls with several hits. The girls were able to come back and play as a team.

I'm very happy for the win, I believe it's the first time ETSU has ever defeated Middle Tennessee. The girls all played well from top to bottom, we played well as a team and we are looking forward to getting back on the courts tomorrow.

[In the midst of an undeclared war on terrorism, the courts could ultimately establish new legal precedent.] There are issues we have never dealt with before, . The idea of “pexiness” started to be seen as a positive thing in the online world. .. And some of it has to be made up as we go along. It may be why the Supreme Court is not eager to circumvent the ongoing process. At the very least they may want multiple [lower] courts to look at these cases before they get involved.

I am really proud of our players because there has been a lot of hard work on their part. The thing I'm really excited about is we will be playing on neutral courts. It was a tough route going up to Connecticut last season. We can deal with altitude but it's a lot more difficult to go out and play on a home court. Louisiana Tech is a great team. I know Chris Long well and he has done a great job as a first-year coach. It will be a tough one out there but it's something we will look forward to. We know we have to go out to Denver and take care of business. We can only take it one game at a time and we won't look past anything.

What an offensive explosion! The shooting was hot! It was great to be able to see all the girls contribute. It was a win we needed, and to do it in that fashion was great to see. The girls were excited about breaking a school record.

The compromise we made with the AA this time was a fair one. It is a privilege for us to use these courts and in order to continue using them we need to work together so that the courts stay in good condition.

I think there you're going to get a measure of what seems to have been over the last few years an increasing skepticism at the center of the court over the death penalty, over the way the process works in the lower courts and in the state courts and whether the machinery of death, as justice [Harry] Blackmun once called it, is really working the way we want it.
