It's a pretty high place to put the bar.

en We're no different from other (successful) schools, and I accept that. We have raised the bar around here. It was our era that put us here and the expectations are so high. That's OK. I'd rather have expectations high and people caring than not caring. We raised the bar when we came in the door, and we want the bar raised more.

en Our competitors are getting better. Across this world our competitors are getting better, ... The weaker links are having to drop out because they can't compete. The bar is being raised in this competitive arena so it's on our shoulders to do the right thing in this environment.

en I think it has more to do with product than any other factor because, look, last summer — huge summer, ... There were DVDs. The ticket prices were high. The concession prices were high. But people were lining up for those movies more than they are this year because of the movies more than anything. A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing.

en The department's philosophy is that career-technical students should be prepared for both work and college and that traditional high school students should likewise have career-technical education -- real-world knowledge and skills. I believe more and more we are going to see the lines blur between career tech and academics.

en On my first day of Jr. High I was in Geography class, and the teacher asked us if anybody knew the names of the continents. And I was sooo excited. I was like, Damnit! It's my first day of 7th grade, Im in jr high and i know this answer. So i raised my hand I was the first one and I said A-E-I-O-U!

en One has got the puck on a string like no one I've ever seen in my life and can dance and make plays that are on the highlight film all the time. And one's just as good as you can possibly be without it and as good as you can be with it. Both are high-, high-end players, and they feed off one another. They want to be better than one another.
